Phillip Hensley first learned electrical work in a high school building trades class. Then after attending Texas A&M University and joining the US Army Reserves, he began working with a small, Houston area electrician as he worked towards his certification. After serving in Afghanistan and Pakistan, he became the Field Supervisor with a national electrical company. He then decided to open Hensley Electric to bring top quality work and a friendly attitude at a price that's actually affordable.

Excellent electrician and awesome service!

New to Texas and so it has been hard finding good referrals when we don't know anyone. We found Phillips website online and contacted him about a quote to hardwire our hot tub and put in a new electrical outlet.

(Note we were already frustrated as one company we called doesn't do quote, only hourly/materials without looking at it to say if it will be huge cost and another company took 2 weeks to come out (after multiple calls and promises) and give a quote, but when we immediately tried to book they said they were backed up with working on swim pool hookups. So before reaching Phillip, I wasn't very positive on electricians).

phillip called me right back (+), said he could come out next aftrernoon for the quote (+), and 30 minutes before arrival, he called to make sure I would still be available at our planned time (+).

He did careful review of what we wanted done and prepared a great quote. And then came immediately out to do the work. He was on time and a few hours into it, found out we were was missing a part (we were using some parts from our old installation), he made sure I understood timeline of when he would be back (45 minutes, not just another day) and was able to finish the project as planned.

I can't recommend Phillip enough for the quality of work, but also his communication skills and professionalism when working on our electrical. He will definitely treat your project the way you want! Now if I can just find a equally good plumber! Shelly F on Yelp 3/21/2015

Excellent electrician and awesome service!

A couple of months ago I had a breaker that tripped and I had a hard time flipping it back. Based on these reviews I called Philip. He told me a couple of things to try before paying him to come out. It worked. I remembered that and now when I needed some items taken care of he was the first one I called. His pricing is fair and his customer service is outstanding! All the good reviews for Philip and Hensley Electric are true. We're very happy to have found him. We just moved into a new home and had several lights inside and out that weren't working. Philip could have charged to "fix" them all, but most either needed switches flipped or to be taken off "test" mode. He didn't charge for any of that but adjusted and explained everything to us. We did purchase surge protectors which he installed and charged about half what we expected to pay. This is the most professional electrician I have ever used. Phillip replaced my lights in a timely manner. He thought the lights would look better moved a few inches to the right and asked before making the design change. He cleaned all of the mess from the installation upon completion. I had Phillip come by the house and he looked around and inspected the whole house and replaced a burnt outlet immediately ...he fixed my ceiling fan light plus he installed a flourecent light fixture in my garage. He also will email me a list of items that I will have him fix in my home and also outside... I was extremely happy with his work ....I even posted his information and company name on my Facebook page......... He was very careful with my tile floors and even put on shoe covers so that he wouldn't get my floors dirty and he cleaned the area where he worked...very impressed with him indeed.. and I will highly recommend him. This is my second time to use Hensley Electric. Phillip, Master Electrician, is very honest and patient unlike most in his field. Hensley Electric resolved an issue within a GFCI circuit in my garage. At my request, Phillip provided a detailed analysis with costs for updating the main panel and prioritized the repairs from important to least important. Phillip is very professional and quick to get the job done. Hensley Electric was prompt with their appointment and made us feel important. Phillip did an amazing job, in a timely manner as promised. Gave estimates on other things that were in need and in order of importance.
